5 Tips for a better night's sleep


Sleep can be one of the most illusive parts of a person's daily routine. Getting the proper amount is also one of the most important steps to a healthier body. Follow these guidelines if you want to start sleeping better!

Aromatherapy: Burning a candle before bed or taking a bath with a bath bomb can greatly relax your body and mind after a long day. Lavender especially has been found to aid in relaxation which promotes a better night's sleep.

Yoga: Stretching is a great way to physically relax yourself before you fall asleep. Yoga excercises can slow your breathing and relieve your mind from everyday stresses.

Exercise: Regular exercise forces your body to use more energy allowing a deeper sleep at night. Doing this long term can lower your heart rate so that falling asleep comes much more naturally.

Consistency: Our bodies like a routine. Going to sleep at the same time each night and rising the same time each morning can greatly increase your quality of sleep. Getting up as soon as your alarm goes off and not using the snooze button can also keep your sleep more consistent.
